CURRENT SITUATION IN SHETLAND
Currently in Shetland, hotels, bed & breakfasts, pubs, museums, heritage centres, leisure centres, visitor centres and some shops are closed. Cafes and restaurants are now able to provide take-away food and have outdoor seating areas.
Travel to and from Shetland is currently limited. Northlink Ferries are only allowing the following passengers to travel on board: island residents, key workers and those travelling to receive or to provide medical support. Loganair currently have the same restrictions on their flights to Shetland.
Within Shetland, inter island ferries are running a restricted timetable with changes to bookings and payments. The same criteria refer to passengers as to those travelling by Northlink and Loganair. Inter-island flights are restricting travel to the island residents and essential travellers only.
